Xerath
Appearance
Xerath, The Toll Keeper (God of Fate and the Inevitable)
Xerath serves as the cosmic accountant of the universe, embodying the truth that every beginning must have an end. He is the patron of the dead, those who carry out the law, and the preservation of the natural cycle. His agenda is rooted in the philosophy that existence is a borrowed resource, and each mortal is allotted a finite measure of time that cannot—and should not—be circumvented. Xerath does not view himself as a harbinger of malice, but as the protector of balance; he opposes any effort to artificially extend life or cheat the grave, believing that death provides the essential context that gives meaning to mortal endeavour.
